Raja Yoga Training at the Padmayana Yoga School
Raja Yoga is translated as ‘the Royal Yoga’.
It is a form of Yoga where we cultivate the mind, seen as the king of our internal system, using mainly
Concentration (Dharana) and Meditation (Dhyana).
These courses are held at Rosewell Shiatsu Centre, Castle Bytham.

Aims & Benefits
The aim of these courses is to give you the tools to develop an informed inner practice that suits your needs.
There are many psychological and physiological benefits resulting from a correct practice of Dhyana
(Meditation): eliminates stress, anxiety and irritability, increases self esteem and emotional control,
improves concentration, better social integration, normalises blood pressure, improves immunity, circulation,
reduces cholesterol levels, reduces the process of aging etc.
Course Content
- The esoteric theoretical basis for this form of Yoga
(Yogas Citta Vritti Nirodha)
- Techniques for achieving a state of complete relaxation
(how to go beyond the average levels of relaxation)
- Modalities for activating ‘the Third Eye’ using Yoga postures
(Asana), breathing techniques (Pranayama), concentration
techniques (Dharana) and Meditation (Dhyana)
- Obstacles in the practice of meditation
- Recommendations for a successful practice
The course is open to beginners as well as advanced practitioners and it will give a
comprehensive insight into the yogic practices of meditation,
explaining how and why we do the practices in a specific manner.
